Dubai writing program unveils Arabic scientific works

Books, translated through the program’s workshop, aim to make complex scientific topics more accessible to Arabic-speaking readers

DUBAI (MNTV) – The Dubai International Program for Writing has launched a new series of Arabic-language scientific publications, expanding access to vital knowledge on climate change, sustainability, and energy efficiency.

According to Al Khaleej, the initiative is backed by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation and produced in collaboration with the publishing house “Macau Group.”

The books, translated through the program’s workshop, aim to make complex scientific topics more accessible to Arabic-speaking readers.

The collection features three major titles tackling global environmental and sustainability challenges.

“The Road to Organic Life,” translated by Mariam Mahmoud Saad, examines the harmful effects of pesticides and chemical fertilizers while promoting the benefits of organic farming, which gained momentum in the 1970s as an alternative to conventional agricultural practices.

“Extreme Weather,” translated by Moaz Ayoun, explores the rising impact of climate change on natural disasters, including heatwaves, floods, and hurricanes, emphasizing the connection between global warming and extreme weather patterns.

“Energy Efficiency” contrasts non-renewable energy sources like coal and oil with renewable alternatives such as solar and wind power, shedding light on the urgent need for a sustainable energy transition.

The release of these books reinforces the Dubai International Program for Writing’s mission to bridge the gap between global scientific advancements and Arabic-speaking communities, ensuring that critical environmental and energy-related knowledge reaches a wider audience.
