Tajikistan launches tourism fair with global participation
Dushanbe hosts expanded DITE-2025 fair, drawing global operators, airlines, and hotels to boost inbound tourism and competitiveness
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (MNTV) — The International Tourism Exhibition DITE-2025 opened in the Tajik capital on September 18, bringing together around 200 companies from 20 countries in a bid to strengthen the country’s presence on the global travel map.
The three-day event at the Dushanbe Expo Center features tour operators, hotels, airlines, wellness centers, cultural institutions, and souvenir producers. Participants include firms from across Central Asia as well as Germany, the United Kingdom, Turkiye, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Russia, Iran, Pakistan, Bahrain, Yemen, Syria, and Morocco.
Organized by Somon Travel with backing from the Dushanbe mayor’s office and the Committee for Tourism Development, the exhibition follows an international tourism investment forum held in the city a day earlier.
At the opening ceremony, officials from Tajikistan’s government and business community joined international representatives, including Simonida Kordić, head of the UN World Tourism Organization’s Commission for Europe, to emphasize the role of tourism in diversifying the economy and raising Tajikistan’s global profile.
Organizers said DITE-2025 aims to give domestic businesses a platform to expand their market share, attract new visitors, and build partnerships with international firms. The program includes product showcases, networking sessions, and knowledge-sharing between foreign and local companies.
The first edition of the exhibition in 2024 brought together just over 100 companies. This year’s larger lineup reflects both rising interest from international participants and Tajikistan’s efforts to position itself as a gateway to Central Asia for global travelers.
