Israeli strikes kill six in Gaza amid ceasefire violations
Palestinian officials report nearly 2,400 breaches as civilian deaths, including children, mount under continued Israeli attacks
GAZA CITY, Palestine (MNTV) — At least six Palestinians, including two children, were killed in fresh Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, as the death toll continued to rise amid what officials describe as systematic violations of a fragile ceasefire.
Local health authorities said the latest killings occurred in multiple areas, including northern and southern Gaza, where Israeli fire and airstrikes persisted throughout the day. One victim was killed in Beit Lahia, while others were reported in Jabaliya and Khan Yunis, alongside widespread injuries.
In Gaza City, an Israeli airstrike targeted a civilian police vehicle, killing four people, including a police officer and a child, and wounding several others, some critically. Palestinian officials said the vehicle was conducting routine duties when it was struck, condemning the attack as a deliberate assault on civilian structures.
Witnesses and officials reported that Israeli forces also carried out extensive shelling and heavy gunfire across residential areas, while demolitions of homes were recorded in Jabaliya camp and the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood. Additional strikes hit areas near Al-Bureij refugee camp and other densely populated locations, further intensifying destruction.
The ongoing assault comes despite a ceasefire agreement that has formally been in place since October 2025. Palestinian sources say Israeli forces have committed nearly 2,400 violations of the truce over the past six months, undermining any meaningful attempt to de-escalate the conflict.
Criticism has mounted over what is widely seen as the systematic targeting of civilians and essential infrastructure under the government of Benjamin Netanyahu. Palestinian groups accused Israel of deliberately striking non-military targets to destabilize daily life and weaken already fragile governance structures in Gaza.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, the overall toll from the conflict has reached more than 72,000 Palestinians killed and over 172,000 injured since October 2023. Thousands are still believed to be trapped beneath rubble or in areas inaccessible to rescue teams, highlighting the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe.
The continued bombardment underscores the collapse of ceasefire commitments, as Israeli military operations persist for the 187th consecutive day, deepening what observers describe as one of the most severe humanitarian crises in recent history.
