Iran says more than 30 civilians killed in strikes on south
Government spokeswoman gives no location or breakdown, as officials report fresh US strikes on three sites in Bushehr and Trump threatens power plants and bridges
TEHRAN (MNTV) — More than 30 civilians have been killed in recent attacks on southern Iran, government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani said on Wednesday.
Writing on X, Mohajerani said the deaths came in the recent attacks on the south of the country.
She did not say where they occurred or give any further detail about the casualties, and the toll could not be independently verified.
Separately, the governor of Bushehr province said US strikes hit three locations in the southwestern city of Bushehr on Wednesday morning without causing injuries, according to Fars News Agency.
Trump said on Tuesday that strikes on Iran would continue and intensify, warning that Washington would begin targeting Iranian power plants and bridges next week unless Tehran returned to negotiations.
The two sides have traded attacks for days around the Strait of Hormuz.
Tehran has written to the United Nations accusing Washington of violating the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, the Pakistan-mediated agreement intended to end the conflict and open the way to a lasting peace deal.
