Seven Palestinians, including two children, injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza

GAZA CITY (AA) — Seven Palestinians, including two children, were injured Wednesday in Israeli strikes and gunfire across the Gaza Strip despite a ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025.

Medical sources said the attacks targeted residential areas and civilians in Gaza City in the north and Khan Younis in the south.

In western Gaza City, a Palestinian girl was injured after an Israeli strike hit a multistory residential building in Al-Shati refugee camp.

The strike came after residents were ordered to evacuate part of the neighborhood.

Two other Palestinians were wounded, one critically, when an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle on Al-Rashid Street in the Sheikh Ajlin area south of Gaza City.

In a separate drone attack, two Palestinians were critically injured after a gathering of civilians was targeted near Abu Alaba roundabout in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood.

A Palestinian woman also suffered moderate injuries after being shot by Israeli forces in the Al-Zarqa area east of Gaza City, according to medical sources.

In southern Gaza, a Palestinian child was critically wounded when an Israeli quadcopter opened fire on homes in the Al-Mahatta neighborhood northeast of Khan Younis.

Witnesses said Israeli forces also fired smoke grenades toward the area amid heavy gunfire.

The attacks came amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said Wednesday that 1,358 Palestinians have been killed and 4,541 injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire began.

Since October 2023, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured over 174,000 others, according to Palestinian authorities.

Around 90% of Gaza’s infrastructure has also been destroyed, they said.
