Israeli strike kills entire Palestinian family in Gaza
Mother, father and four children killed as Israel continues deadly attacks despite ceasefire across the besieged Gaza Strip
GAZA CITY, Palestine (MNTV) — An Israeli airstrike killed an entire Palestinian family of six in Gaza City, as Israel continued military attacks despite an existing ceasefire, according to Palestinian officials and emergency responders.
The strike targeted the family’s home on Al-Thalathini Street, where a mother, father and their four children were killed. Medical officials said the children were between six and 13 years old.
The Palestinian Red Crescent initially recovered the bodies of the mother and four children from the destroyed residence, while the father was later confirmed dead from the same attack. Medical sources said all six victims were brought to Al-Shifa Hospital with severe burn injuries.
Gaza’s Civil Defense said rescue crews extinguished a large fire that engulfed the family’s home following the Israeli bombardment.
Israeli forces also shelled areas southeast of Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, while military vehicles stationed nearby opened heavy gunfire, according to local sources.
In central Gaza, Palestinian witnesses said Israeli armored vehicles, accompanied by a military bulldozer, advanced into the Abu Ghraba area east of Deir al-Balah, opened fire, bulldozed agricultural land and later withdrew.
The latest attack comes despite a ceasefire that has officially remained in effect since October 2025. Palestinian authorities accuse Israel of repeatedly violating the truce through airstrikes, artillery shelling and ground incursions.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 1,158 Palestinians have been killed and 3,756 wounded since the ceasefire took effect, underscoring what Palestinian officials describe as Israel’s continued disregard for civilian lives and international commitments.
Israeli officials have also acknowledged that Israeli forces now control more than 70 percent of the Gaza Strip, compared with approximately 53 percent under the terms of the October 2025 ceasefire agreement.
Since the beginning of Israel’s genocide in October 2023, Gaza’s Health Ministry says nearly 73,300 Palestinians have been killed, around 174,000 injured and roughly 90 percent of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed.
