Bahrain to host 2025 Digital Content Awards as Kingdom celebrates Global ICT Triumph
BDC Awards to spotlight national innovation; Bahraini students clinch top honors at Huawei ICT Global Finals
MANAMA, Bahrain (MNTV) — Under Ali Bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH), in strategic collaboration with the World Summit Awards (WSA), will host the prestigious Bahrain Digital Content Award (BDC Award) this June.
This landmark initiative highlights the rising strategic significance of the digital content sector and its pivotal contribution to driving sustainable digital transformation across the Kingdom of Bahrain.
On the occasion of the upcoming Bahrain Digital Content Award, Mr. Ahmed Ateyatalla Alhujairi, Chairman of the Digital Content Awards, emphasized the event’s role in supporting national development goals.
Alhujairi highlighted that the award plays a vital role in encouraging creative talent and digital entrepreneurship across Bahrain.
By recognizing outstanding digital solutions, the initiative aims to foster innovation across multiple sectors and contribute to the country’s broader socio-economic transformation.
He added that empowering creators through such platforms is central to realizing the goals outlined in Bahrain’s Vision 2030.
Mr. Tareq Fakhroo, Chairman of the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH), expressed his heartfelt appreciation, noting that such support plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the Society’s efforts to drive digital innovation across the Kingdom.
He added that the 2025 edition of the Bahrain Digital Content Award aims to attract a wide range of participants, including startups, private companies, government entities, and academic institutions engaged in digital content.
The award will continue to serve as a strategic platform for showcasing innovation and excellence in the sector.
It also offers opportunities for participants to build valuable partnerships and extend their presence in regional and global markets.
It is noteworthy that the previous edition of the Bahrain Digital Content Award achieved significant success, honoring a distinguished group of creators and renowned institutions for their outstanding contributions to the digital landscape.

In a related development, Bahrain has achieved outstanding success in the global finals of the Huawei ICT Competition 2024–2025.
A joint team from Bahrain Polytechnic and the University of Bahrain secured first place in the Network Track of the competition held in Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China.
This achievement came after the Bahraini team competed against 40 teams from six global regions in the Practice Network Track, reflecting Bahrain’s leadership in developing national talent in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) at the international level.
These accomplishments underscore Bahrain’s commitment to nurturing digital innovation and talent, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives to foster a diversified and knowledge-based economy.
