WASHINGTON, United States (MNTV) – The United States and Israel are reportedly in discussions over establishing American military bases inside Israeli territory, including potentially relocating forces from elsewhere in the Middle East, as the two allies reassess their regional military posture amid the ongoing war against Iran.
Israeli media reported that Tel Aviv has proposed transferring some American military installations from other parts of the Middle East into Israel, as part of broader strategic talks between the two countries.
Officials have not confirmed any agreement, and the discussions remain at an early stage. Neither the Israeli government nor the U.S. administration has issued formal statements on the reports.
The talks come as the Middle East remains on high alert following the large-scale air offensive launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iran on February 28, which has reportedly killed more than 1,300 people including senior Iranian leadership figures.
Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq and Gulf states hosting U.S. military assets.
