Saudi Arabia to launch first Six Flags theme park
Qiddiya City will unveil the world’s first Six Flags outside North America, featuring record-breaking rides and family attractions
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya City is set to open its first Six Flags theme park on December 31, 2025, marking a major step in the Kingdom’s efforts to establish a leading regional hub for entertainment, sports, and culture.
The park, the first Six Flags location, forms part of Qiddiya Investment Company’s flagship development on the outskirts of Riyadh in the Tuwaiq Mountains, approximately 40 minutes from the capital.
Brian Machamer, president of Six Flags Qiddiya City, said the park “showcases bold imagination, unforgettable experiences, and a new benchmark for global entertainment,” highlighting the city’s ambition under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The development aims to attract up to 150 million visitors annually by 2030, supporting the Kingdom’s economic diversification beyond oil, according to Arab News.
Six Flags Qiddiya City will feature 28 major rides, including record-breaking attractions such as the Falcons Flight roller coaster — billed as the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest — the Iron Rattler, the world’s tallest tilt coaster, and Spitfire, the world’s tallest inverted coaster.
The park will also offer 18 family-oriented rides, international dining options, and retail outlets with exclusive Six Flags merchandise.
Qiddiya City is planned as a large-scale mixed-use district, eventually including residential, retail, office, hospitality, healthcare, and educational facilities.
The park will open daily at 4 p.m., with complimentary shuttles connecting visitors from parking areas and Jeddah Metro Station, starting at 3 p.m., all accessible to guests with disabilities.
Tickets will start at $87 for adults and $73 for children, with free admission for infants under four. Visitors can purchase an Unlimited GoFast Pass for priority access, while discounted tickets for people with special needs, seniors, and companions will be available on-site starting at $20.
