October 06: Advance Voting Started Across Parts of the Greater Toronto Area Today.
As Election Day on October 26 approaches, many municipalities in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) have begun early voting. Here’s everything you need to know about advance voting.
Toronto:
Early voting in Toronto began this morning, Tuesday, October 6, and will continue until Sunday, October 11. Polling hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Eligible voters should have received their voter cards in the mail, with Toronto Elections sending them out starting September 20. Voters can also access their digital voting card through the city’s MyVote service.
Voters can register through MyVote until 7 p.m. on October 11. If a resident did not receive a voter ID card, they can vote by bringing government-issued ID and a document showing their full legal name and mailing address.
