Makkah winter festival enhances culture and local economy
Over 25 events and programs attract residents, pilgrims, and visitors while promoting heritage and business activity
MAKKAH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The Makkah Winter Festival is using seasonal cultural and entertainment programs to enrich urban life, showcase the city’s heritage, and stimulate local economic growth.
Running from mid-December 2025 to the end of April 2026, the four-month festival features more than 25 events and activities designed for residents, visitors, and Umrah pilgrims, with total attendance expected to exceed 800,000.
Organizers said the festival emphasizes Makkah’s historical and civilizational significance through exhibitions, knowledge landmarks, and interactive sites that connect participants to the city’s cultural identity. Informative content and modern presentation techniques are used to engage all age groups.
The festival is also expected to benefit the local economy by boosting foot traffic to markets, restaurants, and hotels.
Sales platforms and direct marketing opportunities are provided for families and entrepreneurs, contributing to the city’s broader economic output and supporting sustainable community development.
