Israeli attacks kill five Palestinians across Gaza despite ceasefire
Medical sources report deaths in Khan Younis, al-Musaddar and Gaza City as Palestinian casualties continue mounting under ceasefire
GAZA STRIP, Palestine (MNTV) — Israeli forces killed at least five Palestinians in attacks across the Gaza Strip, while another Palestinian died from earlier injuries, as Israeli military operations continued despite a US-brokered ceasefire that has failed to halt the bloodshed.
The deaths were reported by medical sources and Palestinian media outlets following attacks in Khan Younis, central Gaza and Gaza City on November 2, according to Palestine Chronicle.
At least two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli gun attack and an airstrike in southern Khan Younis, while another died in a drone attack on al-Musaddar village in central Gaza.
A fourth Palestinian was killed when an Israeli strike hit a vehicle in the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City. The Wafa news agency identified him as Hani Hamed Kahil and reported that five other people were wounded.
A fifth Palestinian, Youssef Abu Younis, died from injuries sustained during an Israeli attack on a police post in al-Mawasi on Sunday. At least five Palestinian police officers had also been killed in another attack on Sunday.
The Israeli military said it had targeted Palestinian fighters in three strikes but provided no further details about the operations or the identities of those killed.
In another incident, three Palestinians were wounded when a minibus belonging to a community kitchen was struck in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,593 Palestinians and wounded 5,748 since the ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
The overall death toll from Israel’s military genocide in Gaza has reached at least 74,609 Palestinians, with another 175,872 wounded, according to the ministry.
The latest attacks came as humanitarian organizations and local authorities were trying to arrange shelter for displaced families ahead of winter, with large numbers of Palestinians still living in damaged buildings and makeshift tents.
Meanwhile, Nickolay Mladenov, the high representative of the US-established Board of Peace, arrived in Israel on Monday to seek permission for tents to enter Gaza and push for faster reconstruction efforts.
The continuing attacks have raised further questions about the effectiveness of the ceasefire, as Palestinian civilians remain exposed to Israeli military operations while reconstruction and humanitarian recovery remain severely constrained.
