TEHRAN, Iran (MNTV) — Iran’s banking sector remained fully functional and safe during the recent 12-day conflict, despite intensified cyberattacks aimed at destabilizing the economy, Central Bank of Iran (CBI) Governor Mohammad Reza Farzin.
In a televised address, Farzin praised the Iranian people, armed forces, and Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei for what he called a national triumph over Israeli and American aggression.
He also commended banking staff for ensuring the continuity of financial services throughout the crisis, reported Tehran Times.
Farzin noted that Iran has been under sustained economic pressure due to sanctions and psychological operations, and the latest military escalation was merely an extension of the broader economic warfare against the country.
“The recent attacks were not just military—they were designed to shake public confidence and disrupt economic stability,” Farzin said. “But those efforts were unsuccessful.”
He explained that the goal of the cyber offensives was to provoke fear and manipulate public spending behavior by spreading pessimistic expectations. However, he added, the strategy failed to alter consumer patterns or disrupt the financial system.

“The figures clearly demonstrate that the banking infrastructure held firm under pressure, with no operational breakdowns,” Farzin concluded, underscoring the system’s resilience in the face of coordinated cyber and psychological attacks.
