Visit Qatar launches Ramadan 2026 campaign highlighting citywide celebrations
Tourism authority promotes hospitality, illuminated public spaces, and cultural performances to attract residents and international visitors during holy month
DOHA, Qatar (MNTV) — Visit Qatar has launched its Ramadan 2026 campaign under the theme “Qatar, Your Home in Ramadan,” aiming to position the country as a welcoming destination where the spirit of the holy month extends beyond private homes into public spaces.
The campaign targets both residents and international visitors, emphasizing traditional values of hospitality, generosity, and social togetherness, according to the Qatar News Agency.
Officials said the initiative builds on last year’s strong public engagement and seeks to deepen cultural experiences across the country.
A central feature of the campaign is extensive Ramadan-themed lighting across streets, landmarks, and open public areas.
Decorative light installations at iconic sites and neighborhoods are intended to create a warm and festive atmosphere after sunset, encouraging families and visitors to gather outdoors for evening walks, social activities, and post-iftar outings.
The 2026 campaign also introduces a creative artistic component through music and cultural storytelling. Qatari singer Fahad Al-Hajjaji collaborates with international artist Maher Zain in performances that highlight themes of peace, reflection, and unity, which officials say are core values of Ramadan.
The music element is designed to resonate across cultures and enhance the emotional and spiritual tone of the celebrations.
Visit Qatar said the campaign is designed for both domestic and foreign audiences. Residents are encouraged to rediscover and celebrate their city’s Ramadan traditions, while tourists are invited to experience cultural activities, illuminated cityscapes, and communal gatherings during the holy month.
Tourism authorities said the initiative forms part of broader efforts to promote Qatar as a cultural and religious tourism destination, with Ramadan positioned as a key period for immersive cultural experiences, community engagement, and hospitality-driven travel.
