9 Palestinians killed, 15 injured in Israeli strike on Gaza police station

GAZA CITY (AA) — At least nine Palestinians, including police officers and children, were killed Wednesday when an Israeli airstrike struck a police station in central Gaza City, according to local medical sources.
More than 15 people were also injured in the attack, with the casualties taken to Al-Shifa Hospital, a medical source at the facility said.
The deaths brought to 10 the number of Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza on Wednesday. Another Palestinian was killed when an Israeli strike hit a motorcycle in the Nuseirat refugee camp, according to medical sources.
Gaza’s Interior and National Security Ministry condemned the attack as a “new brutal massacre,” saying the Israeli military had targeted a municipal police station.
The ministry accused Israel of attempting to weaken Gaza’s police force and create “chaos within Palestinian society.” It also rejected the Israeli justification for the strike.
The ministry further criticized what it called international silence over repeated attacks on Palestinian police personnel and the lack of effective action by mediators, saying this had allowed further attacks to continue.
According to the latest figures from Gaza’s Health Ministry, 1,273 Palestinians have been killed and more than 4,000 injured in Israeli violations of the ceasefire since it took effect last October.
