Women dominate grid in Saudi F4 Championship 2025
Nearly half of this season’s Aramco F4 Saudi drivers are female, signaling rapid progress in women’s motorsport
JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The FIA-certified Aramco F4 Saudi Arabian Championship 2025 is breaking new ground this season, with women drivers accounting for nearly half the grid — a milestone for regional motorsport.
According to Arab News, seven out of 16 competitors, or 44 percent, are women, highlighting the growing female participation in one of the Middle East’s most competitive single-seater series.
The championship, promoted by ALTAWKILAT Motorsport under the supervision of the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF) and sponsored by Aramco, has quickly earned recognition for its competitive spirit and inclusivity.
Opening rounds at the Bahrain International Circuit saw four thrilling races showcasing both emerging and seasoned talent. British driver Kit Belofsky of PEAX secured victory in the first race, followed by the UAE’s Adam Al-Azhari of VALVOLINE in the second. Round two continued their rivalry, with Al-Azhari taking race three and Belofsky reclaiming the lead in race four.
Among standout female racers, Dutch driver Nina Gademan (CARAAGY) earned podium finishes in both the first and second rounds, while Esmee Kosterman (MY-CAR) received the Best Female Driver Award in round two.
The championship now heads to the iconic Jeddah Corniche Circuit — the world’s fastest street track — for three back-to-back rounds scheduled for November 10–11, November 14–15, and December 5–6.
Leading the charge is Saudi driver Farah Al-Yousef (VALVOLINE), who has become a symbol of the Kingdom’s motorsport transformation. “With every race, I grow technically, mentally, and emotionally,” Al-Yousef said. “It’s an honor to compete at home before my friends and family, and I’m grateful to SAMF and ALTAWKILAT Motorsport for supporting us.”
Al-Yousef previously represented Saudi Arabia at the Formula Women Nations Cup Finals in Dubai, won the Saudi Women’s Karting Championship in 2022, and competed as a wildcard entry in the 2025 F1 Academy.
Joining her are international contenders including Esmee Kosterman (MY-CAR), Ava Dobson (PEAX), Nina Gademan (CARAAGY), Megan Bruce (CARAAGY), Rachel Robertson (ASTOP), and Chiara Batting (Red Bull).
As title sponsor, Aramco continues to strengthen motorsport development in Saudi Arabia by providing young racers with advanced training, technical coaching, fitness programs, and media guidance.
