Morocco’s Maghrebna Innovation Awards spotlight youth-led digital creativity
The event highlights young innovators driving cultural transformation through technology, heritage preservation, and creative entrepreneurship under Vision 2030
KENITRA, Morocco (MNTV) — The fourth edition of the Maghrebna Innovation Awards – Vision 2030 convened in Kenitra, celebrating young Moroccan innovators integrating technology, creativity, and cultural identity to advance the nation’s digital and cultural transformation.
Organized by Dialna Maroc in partnership with Ibn Tofail University, the event drew participants from across Morocco, including Agadir, Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakech, who presented digital projects blending tradition and innovation, reported Morocco World News.
Initiatives ranged from virtual museums and cultural platforms to immersive tourism apps designed to promote community engagement and sustainable development.
Salma Bensaïd, president of Dialna Maroc and Maghrebna Innovation, said Morocco’s youth are being equipped with the technological and soft skills needed to “express themselves and engage in the country’s transformation,” emphasizing that a nation’s greatness lies in how it values its cultural and human heritage.
This year’s edition centered on how digital tools and smart technologies can empower the Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), foster cultural tourism, and build a “Moroccan data” ecosystem — content created locally to reinforce Morocco’s digital sovereignty and strengthen its presence in the global economy.
Seven awards were presented across categories such as Best Virtual Reality, Best Podcast, Best Digital Application, Best Immersive Travel, and Culture Inspiration.
The Coup de Cœur award went to Le Maroc que j’aime, honoring Morocco’s cultural diversity, while a Perseverance Prize was given to the youngest participant for a project inspired by ancestral Moroccan symbols.
In addition, organizers announced the launch of the Maghrebna Innovation Training Class 2025–2026, a program offering mentorship and business training to help winners transform their ideas into sustainable ventures through courses in marketing, leadership, storytelling, and project management.
Since its inception in 2021, Maghrebna Innovation has acted as a national incubator for creativity and entrepreneurship, financing initiatives that reinforce Morocco’s cultural identity while promoting innovation and sustainable growth under Vision 2030.
The fifth edition is scheduled for January 2026, with expanded training modules and additional project support.
