Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has said she is “not done” with public service and may consider running for president again in 2028
LOS ANGELES, United States (MNTV) – Former US Vice President Kamala Harris has said she is “not done” with public service and may consider running for president again in 2028.
In an interview with the BBC, Harris said she believes a woman will be president in the coming years, and it could “possibly” be her.
The former vice president, 61, has been on a media tour promoting her book 107 Days, reflecting on her 2024 campaign and loss to President Donald Trump.
Asked whether she still wanted the job, Harris said, “It’s a job I wanted to do,” but added that “the only way to do it is to run and win.”
She also dismissed concerns about electability, saying, “I’ve never listened to polls.”
Harris told the Associated Press she sees herself as a party leader working to prepare Democrats for the 2026 midterms.
Other potential 2028 contenders include California Governor Gavin Newsom, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, and Representative Ro Khanna.
