From January to May 2025, Jordan welcomed approximately 2.696 million international visitors, marking a 20.6% increase over the 2.234 million arrivals in the same period of 2024.
Overnight tourist numbers rose by 16.4% to reach 2.233 million, while same-day visitors surged by 46.6%, totaling around 462,000, according to new data from the Central Bank of Jordan and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities.

In April alone, tourism income soared by 34.2%, hitting 503.6 million dinars compared to 375 million dinars in April 2024.
The Ministry’s latest report highlighted notable increases in visitor numbers across various regions.
The Asia-Pacific region led with a remarkable 101.5% rise in overnight tourists, followed by Europe at 53.8%, Africa at 33.8%, the Americas at 27.0%, and Arab countries at 26.6%.
May 2025 saw continued momentum, with approximately 571,000 international visitors arriving in the Kingdom—up 27.1% from 449,000 in May 2024.
Officials attribute the performance to a series of measures undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, including enhanced tourism infrastructure, diversified experiences, and targeted global marketing campaigns.
The resumption of direct and low-cost flights has also improved access to key destinations across the country.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to executing a comprehensive tourism strategy focused on sustainable growth, boosting the sector’s GDP contribution, and creating job opportunities.
It also aims to firmly position Jordan as a premier global destination celebrated for its historical, religious, and natural attractions.
