IRGC says photos show damage to US base in Jordan
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says images prove its missiles hit maintenance hangar at Al Azraq Air Base, disputing US claim no aircraft or facilities were damaged
TEHRAN, Iran (MNTV) — The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps released photographic evidence on Thursday that it said showed successful missile strikes on a maintenance hangar at the U.S. military’s Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan, rejecting a U.S. Central Command claim that Iranian missiles caused no damage to American aircraft or facilities.
The images, published by the IRGC, came after CENTCOM said it intercepted all Iranian missiles and that no aircraft or equipment at the base had been damaged, Tasnim reported.
Alongside the image, the IRGC told the United States to stop what it called extensive censorship and provide accurate data so people around the world could judge for themselves.
Earlier Thursday, the IRGC said its Aerospace Force carried out a retaliatory missile strike on Al Azraq Air Base after the U.S. used bases in Jordan to launch deadly attacks on residential homes on Iran’s Qeshm Island.
The IRGC said the strike destroyed three U.S. F-35 fighter jets, heavily damaged three others and killed several U.S. military personnel, including officers and technical and maintenance staff.
