Fourteen new public sculptures unveiled across Riyadh

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — Fourteen sculptures from the Tuwaiq International Sculpture Symposium have been installed across three major public sites in Riyadh, including ROSHN Front, the SEDRA residential community, and Sports Boulevard. 

The initiative, according to Arab News, is part of the Riyadh Art Program’s broader push to integrate public art into the city’s daily urban experience.

The latest installations advance Riyadh Art’s plan to transform the city into a vast open-air gallery. 

Khalid Al-Hazani, executive vice president for the lifestyle sector at the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, said the initiative aims to “weave beauty and intellect into the city’s fabric,” cultivating public spaces that are culturally rich, accessible, and integrated into residents’ routines.

Seven sculptures now stand at ROSHN Front, where organizers say the collection creates an interactive, contemplative environment addressing themes of urban transformation, community, and creative exploration. 

Three pieces have been placed within the SEDRA residential community, selected to complement its nature-integrated design and evoke ideas of environmental harmony and renewal. 

The remaining four are installed along Sports Boulevard, where their concepts center on nature, balance, and public well-being.

All fourteen works join Riyadh Art’s permanent collection, created by local and international artists through the annual Tuwaiq Sculpture Symposium.
