Dubai’s DAMAC launches first luxury real estate project in Baghdad
Dubai-based developer unveils ‘DAMAC Hills Baghdad,’ featuring villas, gardens, and modern facilities near the international airport
BAGHDAD, Iraq (MNTV) — Dubai’s DAMAC Properties has officially entered Iraq’s real estate market with the launch of its landmark project, DAMAC Hills Baghdad, marking the company’s first venture in the country.
According to a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the project’s initial phase will feature three luxury residential complexes within a 6.2 million-square-meter development zone.
Strategically located near Abbas Ibn Firnas Square, just five minutes from Baghdad International Airport and 10 minutes from the Green Zone, the project aims to enhance urban living standards and attract international investment in line with the Baghdad 2030 development plan.
The development includes a collection of four- and five-bedroom villas designed to reflect Iraq’s architectural heritage, alongside landscaped gardens, a health club, modern restaurants and cafes, and renewable energy systems.
DAMAC said the project underscores its long-term commitment to supporting Iraq’s infrastructure growth and expanding its real estate portfolio across the Middle East.
The company added that the initiative complements the National Investment Commission’s efforts to bring more foreign investors into Iraq’s growing property sector.
