Azerbaijani students win four awards at International Olympiad in Informatics
Team earns silver, bronze medals, and incentive prize in Bolivia competition
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) — Azerbaijan’s national team achieved notable success at the 37th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2025), securing one silver medal, two bronze medals, and an incentive prize at the event held in Sucre, Bolivia.
The silver medal was awarded to Aykhan Damirli, an 11th-grade student at the Lyceum named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva in Baku.
Bronze medals went to Hasan Valiyev, a 10th-grade student from School No. 157 in Baku, and Elvin Imanli, an 11th-grade student from the Physics, Mathematics, and Informatics Lyceum in Baku.
Ali Aliyev, an 11th-grade student at the Ankara Lyceum in Baku, received the incentive prize, completing the team’s strong performance on the international stage.
The Azerbaijani delegation’s participation was supported by “Azercell Telecom” LLC in collaboration with the Ministry of Science and Education and the Institute of Education, as part of ongoing efforts to prepare students for global competitions in informatics.
