An American journalist was shot dead and another wounded Sunday in Irpin, a frontline suburb of Ukraine’s capital Kyiv.
The reporter was identified as 50-year-old video documentary shooter Brent Renaud (BRENT RENO) of New York.
TIME magazine released a statement Sunday saying Renaud was in the region working on a TIME Studios project on the global refugee crisis.
The International Federation of Journalists identified the wounded journalist as American photographer Juan Arredondo.
A third victim, a Ukrainian who had been in the same car as the Americans, was also wounded.
