Qatari charity builds 108 homes in Afghanistan
The Qatari charity Al-Gharafa Foundation has completed 108 homes for vulnerable families in western Afghanistan’s Farah province
KABUL, Afghanistan (MNTV) — The Qatari charity Al-Gharafa Foundation has completed 108 homes for vulnerable families in western Afghanistan’s Farah province, with two mosques and a hospital expected to be finished soon, Pajhwok Afghan News reported.
The update came during a meeting between senior Al-Gharafa officials and Economy Minister Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, where the foundation briefed the Afghan government on the first phase of its “Khushal Khan” residential project. Officials said construction is in its final stages and that the second phase will begin shortly.
The charity said it plans to broaden its development and humanitarian activities across Afghanistan in 2026, prioritizing support for communities facing acute needs.
Minister Hanif praised the foundation’s work and urged faster completion of ongoing projects, calling for sustained cooperation to address Afghanistan’s humanitarian and development challenges.
