Turkish defense firm Bay Galata to debut advanced anti-drone launcher at IDEF 2025
New Tuwek system and Drone-Seeker munitions aim to counter mini and swarm UAV threats with high-speed, customizable firepower
ANKARA, Türkiye (MNTV) — Turkish defense company Bay Galata is set to unveil a cutting-edge anti-drone system, known as Tuwek, along with its newly developed Drone-Seeker ammunition at the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) in Istanbul this week.
According to the company announcement, The Tuwek platform features a multi-barrel launcher capable of delivering high-rate fire against a wide range of aerial threats, including micro, mini, and swarm drones.
Designed for rapid deployment, the system provides what the company describes as a “hard kill” solution and can function independently or within Bay Galata’s larger TUZOQ integrated anti-drone architecture.
Each barrel on the Tuwek launcher is able to fire three rounds per minute, with an effective range starting from 300 meters.
The system is equipped with radar-guided targeting for increased precision and is configurable for both mobile and stationary operations.
In addition to the launcher, Bay Galata will introduce Drone-Seeker ammunition, available in three variants tailored for infantry, medium-range, and long-range applications.
Each munition contains between 400 and 600 pellets and is equipped with programmable fuses to enable operators to adjust the projectile’s lethal radius, dispersion pattern, and range based on mission requirements.
The Drone-Seeker rounds are compatible with standard 37mm and 38mm barrels, and can be adapted for use in 40mm systems with accessory modifications, the company added.
The Tuwek launcher and Drone-Seeker munitions will be presented during IDEF 2025, one of Türkiye’s largest and most prominent defense exhibitions.
The six-day event will commence on Tuesday in Istanbul, drawing participation from defense firms and military delegations around the world.
