18 workers killed, 32 injured in Egypt road collision

ISMAILIA, Egypt (MNTV) — At least 18 workers were killed and 32 others injured after two vehicles carrying workers collided in Egypt’s Ismailia Governorate, authorities and local media reported.
The crash occurred on Al Dawawis road in the Al Qassasin district, where police and emergency crews were dispatched following reports of a major collision involving multiple casualties.
Around 30 ambulances were sent to the scene to transport the injured to nearby hospitals and recover those who died in the crash. Emergency teams also worked to clear the wreckage and restore traffic movement along the road.
Security personnel began examining the crash site as authorities sought to determine the circumstances that led to the collision. Officials continued assessing the situation as emergency crews responded to the aftermath.
An investigation into the cause of the crash remains underway, with authorities working to establish the final casualty figures and determine whether any factors contributed to the collision.
