Syrian aid convoy delivers flour and fuel to Sweida
Government, Red Crescent, and WFP coordinate supplies to support bakeries and residents
DAMASCUS, Syria (MNTV) — A convoy of 31 trucks carrying more than 500 tons of flour, diesel fuel, and other essential supplies arrived in Syria’s Sweida Governorate on Wednesday to support local bakeries and improve access to basic goods.
The delivery was coordinated by Sweida Governorate and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, with logistical and technical support from the World Food Programme, according to Syria’s state news agency SANA.
Officials said the assistance is intended to stabilize bread production and strengthen the supply of essential commodities for Sweida’s estimated 480,000 residents amid ongoing economic pressures.
SANA reported that previous shipments included more than 400 tonnes of flour delivered to Sweida city in January, as part of continued efforts to sustain food and fuel distribution in the governorate.
