In the Asir region, Border Guard patrols in the Al-Raboah sector apprehended 14 Ethiopian nationals attempting to smuggle 260 kilograms of qat.
Separately, four other Ethiopians were arrested in Al-Farsha governorate for trafficking 28 kilograms of the same substance. Authorities also detained a Saudi citizen in Al-Farsha for possessing 11 kilograms of qat.
Meanwhile, in the Al-Dayer sector of the Jazan region, security personnel intercepted an attempt to smuggle 600 kilograms of qat.

The General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan also arrested two Saudi citizens for selling hashish.
In Jeddah, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control detained three individuals — two Pakistanis and one Indonesian — found in possession of 1.5 kilograms of methamphetamine, commonly referred to as shabu.
Additionally, a Saudi citizen in the Baha region was taken into custody for selling amphetamine.
Authorities confirmed that initial legal procedures have been carried out for all suspects. The confiscated narcotics have been transferred to the relevant agencies for further investigation and processing.
