Saudi Arabia’s Ithra Winter to showcase art, music, and drone shows
Seasonal program in Dhahran to feature live performances, family activities, exhibitions, and cultural collaborations with Spain
DHAHRAN, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) has launched Ithra Winter, a cultural season coinciding with Khobar Season.
Running from October 29 to April 2026, it will feature art, music, performances, and outdoor entertainment for visitors, according to Arab News.
The opening festivities will feature live performances at Ithra Theater by Saudi talents Abdulaziz Al-Ma’na and Abdullah Al-Manea, under the direction of Maestro Wissam Khassaf, presenting a musical program reflecting the spirit of the season and the cultural identity of the Eastern Province.
Highlights of Ithra Winter include a 1,000-drone light show, interactive workshops, a winter souq, family-oriented activities, and open-air musical performances featuring artists such as Saad Aloud, Saudi Arwa, and the Choralla band.
Art enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to attend the opening of a new exhibition on October 30, featuring 28 Saudi artists showcasing 35 works centered on the theme of “home.”
The season underscores Ithra’s growing role as a leading cultural institution in Saudi Arabia, offering programs that bridge local and international creativity.
Upcoming events include Tanween 2025—Ithra’s flagship innovation program—beginning on November 17, the 10th edition of the Iqra’ Competition, and Ithra Cultural Days (Spain), which will celebrate Spanish arts, cinema, cuisine, and music following the success of the Japanese edition earlier this year.
Most Ithra Winter activities and exhibitions will be open to the public free of charge, while select performances will require tickets available for purchase on-site. Further details can be found on Ithra’s official website and social media pages.
