The Washington Post confirmed that Israeli military dragged an American Palestinian from his vehicle, blindfolded, gagged, and handcuffed him as he died in their detention on Jan. 12.
Citing a Hebrew-language report, the Post said that Israeli soldiers did not provide medical assistance to 78-year-old Omar Assad, despite the presence of an army medic.
It revealed a leaked summary of an Israeli Defense Forces’ probe into Assad’s death.
Israeli human rights group B’Tselem tweeted, “This is a policy: Israel does not prosecute those responsible for harming Palestinians, thus making their lives miserable.”
