Israeli drone strike kills Palestinian amid continuing Gaza ceasefire breaches
Palestinian medical sources report civilian casualties in Gaza City as Israeli forces continue firing and shelling despite ceasefire commitments
GAZA CITY, Palestine (MNTV) — An Israeli drone strike killed a Palestinian man and injured several others in Gaza City on Saturday, as Israeli forces continued attacks and gunfire across the devastated territory despite a ceasefire agreement.
According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the strike hit a gathering of civilians in the Tuffah neighborhood, northeast of Gaza City. Medical sources said the victim was an unidentified young man and that several other people were wounded.
Israeli military vehicles also opened heavy fire in areas south of Khan Younis, while artillery shelling was reported in eastern Gaza City, WAFA said.
The attacks represent another reported breach of the ceasefire that took effect on Oct. 10, 2025. Although the agreement was intended to halt hostilities, Palestinians have continued to face deadly strikes and military fire by Israeli military.
Medical sources reported that four Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Israeli airstrikes across Gaza on Wednesday.
Gaza’s Health Ministry said Israeli violations since the ceasefire began had killed 1,493 Palestinians and injured another 5,299. The figures underscore the continuing human cost of attacks during a period formally designated for reduced hostilities.
The latest casualties add to the suffering of a population already devastated by Israel’s prolonged genocide, widespread destruction and repeated displacement.
Continued attacks also raise urgent questions about civilian protection and enforcement of ceasefire commitments.
