Israel continues killing Palestinians in Gaza, hits aid seekers
At least 30 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded as Israeli airstrikes rained down across the Gaza Strip
GAZA, PALESTINE (MNTV) – At least 30 Palestinians were killed and dozens more wounded on Friday as Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling rained down across the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian Wafa news agency, among the victims were civilians waiting for food aid and sheltering in residential areas, with several children and elderly reported among the dead.
Heavy air raids struck central, northern, and southern Gaza, with warplanes and artillery targeting densely populated neighbourhoods, refugee camps, and even areas near hospitals and humanitarian aid centres.
Medical sources and local journalists described a bloody Friday marked by “indiscriminate attacks” and rising panic.
Israeli forces struck crowds gathered for humanitarian aid at the Al-Shuhada junction and along Al-Rashid coastal road south of Gaza City.
At least seven civilians were killed and many others injured. Eyewitnesses described scenes of horror as artillery shells and bullets tore through lines of people waiting for food packages.
Later, four more civilians were shot dead near Wadi Gaza Bridge as they waited at another aid distribution site.
Two additional deaths were reported near a U.S.-based aid centre north of Rafah in southern Gaza.
Simultaneously, Israeli jets launched a wave of strikes on eastern Gaza City, with neighbourhoods including Al-Zeitoun, Shuja’iyya, Al-Tuffah, and Al-Daraj hit by multiple air-to-ground missiles.
Civilian homes were reduced to rubble, with local rescue teams digging through debris amid ongoing shelling.
Further north, the eastern outskirts of Jabalia town and its overcrowded refugee camp also came under fire. Reports from Wafa, the Palestinian news agency, indicated that many homes in Jabalia were flattened, and the death toll could rise as bodies are pulled from the wreckage.
In the south, artillery shells fell dangerously close to Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. The area, already sheltering displaced families, now faces potential mass evacuation orders. Explosions were also heard across Rafah and Khan Yunis, where Israeli forces continued house demolitions.
Strikes extended to central Gaza as well. In Deir al-Balah, two civilians were killed in a targeted bombing, while another home was destroyed in Camp 2 near Nuseirat refugee camp. Dozens more were injured in these assaults.
According to Wafa, Israeli forces simultaneously shelled the Al-Waha and Al-Sudaniya areas northwest of Gaza City, using both artillery and live fire. Civilian gatherings there were directly targeted, leaving many wounded.
The coordinated attacks appeared to deliberately hit areas offering basic humanitarian assistance and shelter.
“This is not a military operation – it’s collective punishment,” said a local volunteer with an aid group near Khan Yunis. “They are hitting us where we go for help – aid lines, hospitals, homes.”
As casualties mount, the humanitarian situation in Gaza grows increasingly dire.
Hospitals are overwhelmed, aid convoys are stalled, and shelter space is vanishing under the relentless barrage.
Civil society groups and international humanitarian agencies have sounded alarms, urging for immediate cessation of hostilities.
The Israeli military has not issued a detailed statement on Friday’s operations.
However, its continued targeting of areas with high civilian concentrations and critical infrastructure is drawing renewed scrutiny from international watchdogs and human rights organisations.
