Elon Musk launches ‘Grokipedia’ to rival Wikipedia

SAN FRANCISCO, United States (MNTV) – U.S. billionaire Elon Musk has launched “Grokipedia,” an AI-powered encyclopedia created by his company xAI to compete with Wikipedia, which he accuses of left-wing bias.
Version 0.1 of the site went live Monday with over 885,000 articles, compared to Wikipedia’s seven million in English. Musk said version 1.0 would be “10 times better.”
“The goal of Grok and Grokipedia.com is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth,” he wrote on X.
“We will never be perfect, but we shall strive toward that goal.”
Musk delayed the launch from September to “purge out propaganda.”
He has often criticized Wikipedia, calling it “controlled by far-left activists” and unsuitable as a source for his platform’s Community Notes.
Grokipedia’s articles are generated by AI and its chatbot Grok.
A page about Musk describes him as influencing debates on technology, demographics, and “institutional bias.”
