Bahrain launches GCC tourism campaign for summer season
New initiative promotes entertainment, shopping and family attractions as Bahrain seeks to strengthen regional tourism appeal
MANAMA, Bahrain (MNTV) — Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority has launched a new regional tourism campaign aimed at attracting visitors from Gulf countries through a broad lineup of entertainment, cultural and family-oriented events across the kingdom.
The initiative promotes Bahrain as a convenient short-holiday and weekend destination for travelers from across the Gulf Cooperation Council region, highlighting concerts, festivals, sports activities and shopping experiences scheduled throughout the upcoming tourism season.
According to the authority, the campaign coincides with several major events taking place around the country, including live performances and theater productions organized in cooperation with Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre.
Officials said the program also includes the third edition of the Bahrain Summer Festival at Exhibition World Bahrain, alongside family entertainment activities, sports competitions and shopping promotions hosted at malls and tourism centers nationwide.
Sara Ahmed Buhiji said the campaign reflects efforts to strengthen Bahrain’s position as a preferred tourism destination for GCC families and regional travelers.
She said Bahrain offers a combination of entertainment, culture, dining, shopping and hospitality within a destination that is easily accessible for short visits and family trips.
Buhiji added that the campaign’s event calendar was designed to appeal to a wide range of visitors and age groups while showcasing Bahrain’s Gulf hospitality and tourism infrastructure.
The tourism authority said the initiative will also feature hotel promotions and travel packages developed in partnership with hospitality sector companies and tourism operators to further encourage regional travel to Bahrain.
Officials said the campaign is part of broader efforts to expand tourism activity and increase visitor arrivals from neighboring Gulf countries.
