Azerbaijan sends martyrs’ children to space-themed winter camp in Türkiye
A group of children from 10 families has been sent to a winter camp at Türkiye’s GUHEM space-themed interactive center
BAKU, Azerbaijan (MNTV) — Azerbaijan’s space agency, in cooperation with Turkish partners, has launched a program giving children from families of martyrs a rare opportunity to experience the world of space and aviation technology, Caliber.Az reported.
A group of children from 10 families has been sent to a winter camp at Türkiye’s GUHEM space-themed interactive center, where they will explore aerospace science through hands-on activities and training with modern equipment used in space-related industries.
The initiative, which was organized by Azercosmos and ran from Nov. 25 to 30, is supported by the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency, GUHEM and the public fund Zafer.
Located in the Turkish city of Bursa, GUHEM is among Europe’s largest space and aviation centers. Built in collaboration with the Turkish Space Agency and aligned with Türkiye’s National Space Program, the 13,000-square-meter facility features 154 interactive devices offering educational and practical experiences aimed at inspiring young people to pursue high-tech fields and strengthening the country’s global competitiveness in aerospace.
