Israeli army forcefully turn Palestinian home into military post
Israeli troops reportedly expelled Palestinian family from their home in occupied West Bank as attacks on residents and farmland continued across the territory
JENIN, Palestine (MNTV) — Israeli forces expelled a Palestinian family from their home in Arraba, south of Jenin, and converted the property into a temporary military position, according to local sources, as Israeli operations and attacks continued across the occupied West Bank.
The troops raided the house on Sunday and ordered the family to leave, telling the owner that soldiers would remain inside until the evening, according to local reports.
Israeli forces also closed the Arraba junction and a road leading toward Yabad, disrupting traffic along an important route linking nearby communities.
In another incident in Jenin governorate, Israeli forces reportedly cut down dozens of fruit trees on Palestinian-owned land in Khirbet Farasin.
Local sources said some of the trees had been growing for about a decade and that the area has repeatedly been targeted, with hundreds of trees reportedly destroyed during the previous agricultural season.
Near Ramallah, Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian farmers in the eastern part of Al-Mughayyir village, according to the official Palestinian news agency Wafa. Residents confronted the attackers, while no injuries were reported.
Israeli forces subsequently entered the village, detained two Palestinians identified as Alaa and Hani Abu Aliya and fired tear gas, Wafa reported.
Separately, the Al-Baidar rights group said Israeli settlers attacked members of the Arab al-Kaabneh community east of Ramallah and assaulted activists who had travelled to the area to support local residents.
According to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Israeli settlers have carried out about 12,500 attacks across the occupied West Bank since the outbreak of the Gaza genocide in October 2023.
The commission says the attacks have killed 82 Palestinians, caused around 890 fires and contributed to the establishment of about 200 illegal settlement outposts.
Palestinian official figures say Israeli military operations and settler attacks across the West Bank during the same period have killed more than 1,182 Palestinians, injured approximately 13,000 and resulted in about 24,600 arrests.
The incidents come amid continuing international concern over Israeli military activity, settlement expansion and settler violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
