Ugandan culture, arts, and cuisine celebrated in Riyadh
Global Harmony initiative showcases Uganda’s heritage through music, crafts, and culinary traditions
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — The Global Harmony initiative concluded its Ugandan cultural events at Al-Suwaidi Park, one of the Riyadh Season zones, highlighting the country’s rich heritage through music, arts, and cuisine.
Organized by the Ministry of Media in collaboration with the General Entertainment Authority, the two-day celebration attracted visitors from multiple nationalities, offering a platform to experience Ugandan traditions firsthand.
Folk groups from various regions of Uganda performed traditional songs and chants, while entertainment programs featured Ugandan artists and influencers, providing audiences with an immersive cultural experience.
Pavilions showcased traditional clothing, handicrafts, and local culinary specialties, reflecting the diversity and vibrancy of Uganda’s cultural identity.
Ugandan residents attending the events expressed pride in presenting their heritage to a global audience, reinforcing Riyadh’s growing reputation as an international cultural hub.
The initiative, which celebrates 14 world cultures representing different communities in Saudi Arabia, will continue with Ethiopian events from December 11–13 and Sudanese celebrations from December 14–20.
