UAE’s M42 launches Jordan Digital Health Center
New virtual hospital links remote hospitals, reduces diagnostic delays, and strengthens Jordan’s national digital healthcare infrastructure
AMMAN, Jordan (MNTV) — Abu Dhabi Health Data Services (ADHDS), part of the UAE-based M42 group, has launched Jordan’s first Digital Health Center — a virtual hospital designed to transform access to specialized care across the Kingdom.
Developed in partnership with G42’s Presight and Jordan’s Ministries of Health and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, the new center connects five remote hospitals to a central command hub in Alsalt, enabling real-time patient monitoring and specialist consultations.
The initiative marks a major milestone in Jordan’s healthcare modernization efforts, significantly improving service efficiency, reported the Zawya News.
Diagnostic imaging reports that once took up to two weeks are now completed in less than two days — an 86% reduction — while tele-dialysis services have expanded nephrologists’ reach to five times more patients.
Through the Tele-ICU service, patient vitals are continuously streamed to specialists in Alsalt, supported by AI-powered triage alerts that identify urgent cases, reducing the need for transfers to Amman and keeping families closer to home.
Following the success of the first phase, ADHDS has been tasked with implementing Phase 2, expanding the digital health network to seven additional hospitals across Jordan. The move strengthens Jordan’s position as a regional leader in healthcare innovation and telemedicine.
Jordan’s Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Eng. Sami Smeirat, said the project “represents a strategic step in the digital transformation of Jordan’s healthcare system,” aligning with the country’s Economic Modernization Vision.
Health Minister Dr. Ibrahim Al-Budour emphasized that the initiative “goes beyond technology — it’s about dignity, access, and the right to quality healthcare for every Jordanian.”
Kareem Shahin, CEO of M42’s Digital Health Solutions platform, described the launch as “a milestone that demonstrates how technology can reshape healthcare delivery.”
Presight COO Dr. Adel AlSharji added that the partnership reflects “the power of applied AI in bringing equitable, connected, and life-saving care closer to people.”
