TVS motor launches Apache in Morocco’s motorcycle market
Indian manufacturer makes strategic entry into Africa’s growing performance segment
CASABLANCA, Morocco (MNTV) — TVS Motor Company has officially introduced its flagship premium motorcycle, the Apache RTR 310, in Morocco — the brand’s first launch in the African continent as it seeks to expand into the region’s fast‑growing performance motorcycle market.
The unveiling took place on March 28 in Casablanca, with company executives positioning the Apache RTR 310 as a flagship model built on TVS’s “Track to Road” philosophy and decades of racing heritage.
Officials said Morocco was chosen first because the nation’s two‑wheeler industry has recently grown at a brisk pace, with the 201–350 cc premium segment expected to rise markedly in the coming years.
Rahul Nayak, Senior Vice President of International Business at TVS Motor Company, called the launch a key milestone in the firm’s global expansion strategy, emphasizing confidence in Moroccan riders and the broader African market’s appetite for performance motorcycling.
Local partner Motorsport Maroc has also invested in training its service network to support the new model.
The Apache RTR 310 is powered by a high-performance 312.2 cc reverse‑inclined DOHC engine that produces 35.6 PS and 28.7 Nm of torque.
The motorcycle features advanced rider‑centric technology, including cruise control, a bidirectional quickshifter, multiple ride modes, and a 5‑inch TFT display with connectivity, as well as stability control supported by a 6‑axis IMU system.
TVS said the model will be offered in four variants — Arsenal Black (with and without quickshifter), Fury Yellow, and Sepang Blue — with pricing to be determined through local dealerships.
The move underscores TVS Motor Company’s intent to strengthen its foothold in Africa’s emerging premium motorcycle segment as demand for higher‑performance two‑wheelers accelerates across the continent.
