Tech industry leaders named in recently released Epstein documents
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates appears in correspondence discussing topics including pandemic preparedness simulations
WASHINGTON (MNTV) – The Justice Department’s recent disclosure of extensive emails and files connected to Jeffrey Epstein has revealed that several prominent technology executives maintained contact with the deceased financier.
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates appears in correspondence discussing topics including pandemic preparedness simulations. SpaceX CEO Elon Musk allegedly sought to arrange visits to properties owned by Epstein.
Epstein died in custody on August 10, 2019, while facing prosecution for operating an underage prostitution network. The released materials indicate his connections extended to numerous influential individuals worldwide.
Documents show Musk inquired about visiting Epstein’s Caribbean locations during the 2013 holiday season. In a December 13, 2013 email, Musk wrote about being in the British Virgin Islands and St. Barthélemy area, asking about convenient visiting times.
Epstein responded two days later offering flexibility, though the planned meeting apparently never occurred. Epstein later informed Musk that scheduling conflicts would keep him in New York, expressing disappointment at missing the opportunity.
CNN reported January 31 that the correspondence revealed previously unknown communication levels between the pair, noting Musk has previously attempted to link political adversaries to Epstein.
Musk denied visiting the island in social media posts Monday, claiming he consistently refused such invitations. “Nobody has fought harder for full release of the Epstein files and prosecutions of those who abused children more than I did,” he wrote on X.
His estranged daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson contradicted this account on Threads, stating she recalled being in St. Barthélemy during the timeframe mentioned in the emails, suggesting their authenticity.
The files sparked public disputes between Musk and LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman on X. Musk accused Hoffman of visiting Epstein’s island, while Hoffman countered with claims about Musk seeking invitations to Epstein’s gatherings.
Gates also features prominently in the documents. Correspondence between Gates and Epstein included discussions of confidential projects related to biological defense and neurotechnology, according to Euronews. One email showed Gates sharing information about pandemic simulation work from his private office.
Allegations emerged that Gates contracted a sexually transmitted disease, which his spokesperson told BBC were “absolutely absurd and completely false.” Gates’ ex-wife Melinda has previously expressed being disturbed by her former husband’s Epstein connection.
Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page were mentioned through their financial relationships. Epstein reportedly introduced JPMorgan executives to Brin to help secure him as a banking client, The New York Times reported.
Virgin Group founder Richard Branson exchanged emails with Epstein in September 2013. After meeting, Branson wrote that he would “love to see you” anytime, adding “As long as you bring your harem.” Representatives described this as playful language referring to Epstein’s adult staff.
Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was referenced in October 2009 correspondence from publicist Peggy Siegal, who mentioned seeing Bill Clinton and Bezos at Ghislaine Maxwell’s residence. Maxwell is currently imprisoned for sex trafficking.
