Tajikistan launches first AI tool to help citizens navigate national laws
Tajikistan has rolled out its first artificial intelligence platform designed to help citizens understand national laws
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (MNTV) — Tajikistan has rolled out its first artificial intelligence platform designed to help citizens understand national laws, a move officials say will broaden access to legal information and strengthen rights awareness, according to Asia-Plus News Agency.
The AI assistant, called Moni, is a free tool that explains legal norms relating to taxes, land rights, labor disputes, business registration and more.
Developers emphasize that Moni does not interpret laws, draft documents or replace professional legal counsel.
Available in Tajik, Russian, English and Kazakh, the platform allows users to submit questions on any legal topic. Responses are drawn from publicly accessible legal documents.
A related Telegram channel — with 52 subscribers so far — provides guidance on how to phrase queries, including prompts such as “What does the law say…” or “What rights/responsibilities…”
Sample queries include tenant protections under the Civil Code, documentation required to register as an individual entrepreneur, and legal recourse for delayed salaries.
Developers say Moni is a learning system that will improve with feedback. They acknowledge it may not always reflect the latest amendments but say updates are being introduced.
The platform does not verify documents, analyze foreign laws or offer personal opinions; its sole function is to make Tajik legal norms clearer and easier to access.
