Saudi Arabia launches virtual municipality to enhance digital public services
New platform offers real-time video communication and document sharing for streamlined transactions
MADINAH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — Saudi Arabia’s Madinah Municipality has launched a new “Virtual Municipality” platform aimed at transforming municipal services through real-time digital interaction and seamless service delivery.
The initiative allows users to communicate directly with customer service agents via video calls, upload required documents, and share screens during sessions—greatly accelerating processing times and ensuring a more personalized experience.
Officials say the platform represents a major step toward digitizing local governance and improving efficiency.
It is fully aligned with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives to modernize public sector operations and better serve citizens and residents through integrated, paperless services.
