Palestinian killed by Israeli fire in northern Gaza in latest reported ceasefire breach
Breaches of ceasefire attributed to Israeli forces had killed 1,029 Palestinians and wounded 3,249 others as of Wednesday
GAZA CITY, Palestine (AA) — A Palestinian man was killed Thursday when Israeli forces opened fire in the northern Gaza Strip, in what is the latest violation of the ceasefire that has held, at least nominally, since Oct. 10, 2025.
Medical sources told Anadolu that the man’s body was brought to Al-Shifa Medical Complex after troops fired toward the Al-Atatra area of Beit Lahia.
According to the Gaza Health Ministry, breaches of the ceasefire by Israeli forces had killed 1,029 Palestinians and wounded 3,249 others as of Wednesday.
The truce followed two years of war that began on Oct. 8, 2023.
The Health Ministry says more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 173,000 injured since then, and roughly 90 percent of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure has been destroyed — damage the United Nations estimates will cost around $70 billion to rebuild.
