Pakistan condemns Israeli strikes on Iran, calls for immediate global intervention
Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, describing the attacks as unjustified and illegitimate
ISLAMABAD (MNTV) – Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, describing the attacks as an unjustified and illegitimate violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a statement, Pakistan’s foreign ministry denounced the strikes as a breach of international law and the UN Charter.
“Iran has the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter,” the statement said.
Pakistan reaffirmed its solidarity with the people of Iran and warned that Israel’s actions pose a grave threat to regional and global stability.
“The international community and the United Nations bear the responsibility to uphold international law, stop this aggression immediately, and hold the aggressor accountable for its actions,” the statement added.
Saudi Arabia joined the condemnation, calling the Israeli strikes a clear violation of international laws and norms.
“The kingdom affirms that the international community and Security Council bear a great responsibility to immediately halt this aggression,” the Saudi Foreign Ministry said.
Oman, a mediator in recent U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, described the strikes as a “dangerous and reckless escalation” and accused Israel of undermining regional stability.
“Israel is responsible for this escalation and its consequences,” the statement said.
In the U.K., Prime Minister Keir Starmer urged restraint, calling on “all parties to step back and reduce tensions urgently.”
He emphasized the need for calm and a return to diplomacy.
The Palestinian group Hamas expressed solidarity with Iran, condemning the strikes as a “dangerous escalation” and a “flagrant violation of international norms and conventions.”
Hamas called for a unified international stance to deter Israel, warning of the destabilizing effects of the Israeli government’s actions.
“We offer our deepest condolences to the Iranian leadership and people for the deaths of senior commanders and nuclear scientists,” Hamas said in a statement.
The Washington-based advocacy group DAWN criticized the Israeli strikes as “unlawful” and “unprovoked.”
Raed Jarrar, the group’s advocacy director, called on the U.S. to dissociate itself from Israel’s actions.
“We are now seeing Israel unlawfully bombarding Iranian neighborhoods allegedly housing Iranian officials with the same maliciousness it has bombed Lebanon and Gaza,” Jarrar stated.
As tensions continue to rise, Pakistan, along with other nations and organizations, has called on the international community to act swiftly to prevent further escalation.
Observers warn that the Israel is dragging the region into a larger conflict with far-reaching consequences.
