International event in Morocco will bring together technology leaders, entrepreneurs and policymakers to discuss artificial intelligence, innovation and future labor transformation
CASABLANCA, Morocco (MNTV) — Casablanca is set to host a major international conference on artificial intelligence and the future of work later this month, bringing together global technology executives, entrepreneurs, investors and policymakers for discussions on AI-driven economic transformation.
According to Morocco World News, the event, titled “AI Casablanca – Human Work in the AI Era,” is scheduled to take place on May 23 at the Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca and is being organized by Morocco Business Catalysts.
Organizers say the conference aims to position Casablanca as a regional hub for dialogue on artificial intelligence, technological innovation and organizational change as AI continues reshaping industries and labor markets worldwide.
The program will feature Moroccan and international speakers specializing in artificial intelligence, machine learning, digital infrastructure and AI-based business development.
According to organizers, the conference format is modeled on major international technology forums and will include interactive roundtables, networking sessions and panel discussions designed to encourage direct engagement between participants and speakers.
Among the scheduled speakers is Vincent Tauzia, former vice president of product partnerships at Netflix, who now works as a strategic advisor in AI systems and technology operations.
Dominique Lahaix, founder and chief executive of Scientia.ai, is also expected to participate, alongside Dr. Jan van de Poll, founder of Transparency Lab and PRAIORITIZE, who has worked on organizational transformation projects involving AI technologies.
Moroccan entrepreneur Anas Mbasso, founder of EKINOX, Moovance and Athenyx, is expected to discuss the expanding use of AI in sectors including healthcare, mobility, retail, defense, and industry.
Omar Kamali, senior director of Gen AI Engineering at Blue Yonder and founder of Omneity Labs, will also speak during the conference.
Kamali is known for developing one of the first large language models focused on Morocco’s Darija and Amazigh languages through the Sawalni.ma initiative, with work centered on technological sovereignty and local language integration into AI systems.
The conference agenda includes discussions on productivity, management structures, customer interaction and the changing relationship between humans and machines in the workplace.
Another segment of the event will feature presentations from AI-focused companies showcasing emerging business models and new artificial intelligence products.
Organizers said the conference targets executives, startups, institutional leaders, students and young professionals seeking to better understand the growing impact of AI on economies and employment structures.
The event will conclude with networking sessions intended to encourage partnerships and further collaboration between participants and companies.
