Madinah museum offers immersive journey through Prophetic history
Interactive attraction near Prophet’s Mosque presents chronological narratives of prophets through multimedia displays and guided educational experiences
MADINAH, Saudi Arabia (MNTV) — A newly established museum in Madinah is offering visitors an immersive experience exploring the stories of prophets through interactive displays and guided tours.
Located beneath the gardens of As Safiyyah Park, near the Prophet’s Mosque, the Creation Story Museum provides a structured journey through key moments in Islamic tradition, beginning with the story of creation and continuing through the lives of various prophets.
The museum is designed as a quiet and reflective space, combining natural surroundings such as greenery and water features with indoor exhibits that emphasize contemplation and learning. Open to both Muslims and non-Muslims, the facility aims to provide broader access to Islamic history and narratives.
Visitors are guided through a sequence of themed rooms that present the stories in chronological order, from Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad. The exhibits use a combination of lighting, sound effects, and visual projections to recreate historical settings and enhance engagement.
The experience includes depictions of major events such as the early life of Prophet Muhammad and his migration from Makkah to Madinah. The final section focuses on themes related to the end of time, encouraging reflection on moral values and human responsibility.
Tours are available in both Arabic and English, with additional audio devices and translated video content provided to support non-Arabic speakers. While structured tours are scheduled, visitors can also explore the museum independently.
The initiative forms part of broader efforts to expand cultural and educational offerings in Madinah, particularly for pilgrims visiting the city. Authorities have been working to enhance the overall experience of visitors by integrating heritage, learning, and reflection into key religious destinations.
At the conclusion of the visit, guests are given digital access to additional materials through QR codes, allowing them to revisit the content at their own pace. A gift shop within the museum offers curated items at regulated prices, providing an accessible extension of the experience.
The museum represents a growing trend of combining technology with heritage education, aiming to make historical narratives more accessible and engaging for diverse audiences.
