Israeli attacks persist in Gaza as death toll reaches 73,669

GAZA, Palestine (MNTV) — Israeli forces continued attacks across the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding Palestinians as the territory’s reported death toll since October 2023 rose to 73,669.

The Palestine Chronicle reported that Israeli airstrikes struck several parts of Gaza, including a residential home in the market area of Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, where at least six Palestinians were wounded.

The latest attacks came despite a ceasefire that took effect in October 2025.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said hospitals received the bodies of seven Palestinians during the previous 24 hours, including two people killed in recent attacks, one who died from earlier wounds and four whose remains were recovered from under the rubble. Another 25 people were reported wounded.

The ministry said the cumulative death toll since October 2023 had reached 73,669, while 174,652 Palestinians had been wounded.

It cautioned that the figures remain incomplete because additional victims are believed to be trapped beneath destroyed buildings or stranded in areas that rescue teams cannot safely reach.

The latest figures include 1,358 Palestinians killed and 4,541 wounded since the ceasefire began on Oct. 11, 2025. Authorities have also recovered 831 bodies from beneath the rubble during the same period.

The continuing attacks have exposed the limits of the ceasefire arrangement, with Israeli strikes, artillery fire and other military activity continuing across parts of Gaza.

The ongoing casualties have also added to the humanitarian burden in an enclave where widespread destruction has left rescue and emergency services struggling to reach victims.
