Amnesty International on Tuesday called for holding Israel accountable for committing “apartheid” against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
At a news conference, Amnesty released the findings of a comprehensive report about Israeli apartheid practices in the region.
It documents massive seizures of Palestinian land and property, unlawful killings, forcible transfer, drastic movement restrictions, and denial of nationality and citizenship.
The London-based rights group said Israel “enforces a system of oppression and domination against the Palestinian people under its jurisdiction.”
This systemic abuse applies to Palestinians living in Israel, as well as those in the Gaza Strip, West Bank and East Jerusalem, the group said.
