Iran and Tajikistan sign 4 MoUs to deepen cooperation in transport, tech, and labor
Agreements cover rail links, financial settlements, tech center, and labor research collaboration
DUSHANBE, Tajikistan (MNTV) — Iran and Tajikistan have signed four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across key sectors including transport, technology, labor, and financial settlements.
The agreements were formalized during a visit by Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref to Dushanbe, according to Iran’s Mehr News.
The MoUs were exchanged in the presence of Aref and Tajikistan’s Prime Minister Qohir Rasulzoda, highlighting growing ties between the two nations.
One of the MoUs was signed between Iran’s Ministry of Labor and the Tajik Institute for Labor and Employment Studies, aiming to boost collaboration in workforce development and policy research.
A second agreement focused on the creation of an Iran-Tajikistan technology center, signaling both countries’ interest in advancing innovation and scientific cooperation.
In the field of transportation, railway authorities from both nations signed a third MoU to expand cooperation in freight and passenger services, with a view toward improving regional connectivity.
The final agreement concerned the settlement of financial claims between the Iranian engineering company Farab and Tajikistan’s Ministry of Energy, paving the way for smoother economic transactions and project completion.
The signing ceremony underscores the two governments’ shared interest in expanding strategic and economic ties, particularly in infrastructure and innovation.
